News from the Office of the Superintendent
McDonald has long held a reputation for taking care of its children; and it is my great privilege to serve as Superintendent of the McDonald Local Schools.
The collaborative efforts of our community were never more evident than in the past few years as the district worked out of fiscal emergency. We can now look toward a stable future and concentrate on improving our K-12 academic services.
Challenge! That’s the word we as educators live by. Every day we challenge ourselves to challenge our students to learn, grow and communicate better than the day before. As we progress through the year we will conduct self-evaluations and discuss ideas and methods to improve our programs and course offerings.
We recognize that strong schools are the foundation of a strong community and that communication and collaboration are key elements to making great things happen for kids. Educating children requires far more than just curricula – it requires a shared vision that builds bridges and partnerships between the school, residents, and businesses. We know that these initiatives often come from ideas outside our schools, and we welcome your input, feedback, and expertise. Meanwhile, we will continue to find more and better methods to communicate to you the status of your school district.
