College Credit Plus is a new initiative by the Ohio Board of Regents that allows students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at the same time. Students will take courses at an Ohio college of their choice and will receive credit for their studies at their home high school.

The requirements to get accepted into College Credit Plus vary by university.
Students must meet the admissions requirements for the university they plan on attending. For example- Youngstown State requires: at least a 2.0 GPA, 17 composite on ACT (English-18, Math-22, Reading-22, students wishing to take math or science classes may need a higher scores). Please check with the university to see what their requirements are.
Classes can be taken at MHS, online, or at the university (students are responsible for transportation).
Important Dates for 2017-2018 YSU CCP:
*Last ACT test date for new CCP students is February 11, deadline to register is January 13
*Letter of Intent deadline: April 1
*Application deadline: April 5
*Students notified if placement testing needed: February 14-April 21
*New CCP student orientation: May 8 (summer classes on campus) May 18, 23, 24, June 6, August 16 (high school based classes), July 27, August 1 (fall classes on campus)
*Students are responsible for following through with communications with the university, you must check your university e-mail throughout the summer to stay up to date with admission requirements*
