McDonald Local Schools is excited to share the results of the 2024-2025 Ohio School Report Card, where the district earned an impressive 4.5 out of 5 overall rating. This achievement reflects the consistent effort and commitment of our students, staff, and families.
Individually, McDonald High School and Roosevelt Elementary School each earned a 4 out of 5 rating, further demonstrating the strength and quality of education across all grade levels in our district.
The Ohio School Report Card evaluates schools in several important categories. McDonald Local Schools performed at a high level across the board:
Achievement: Academic performance on state tests significantly exceeded state standards.
Progress: Students showed meaningful academic growth, meeting expectations for improvement.
Gap Closing: The district surpassed state standards in ensuring equity and success for all learners.
Graduation: Strong four- and five-year graduation rates exceeded state expectations.
Early Literacy: K-3 students demonstrated impressive growth and proficiency, surpassing state benchmarks.
College, Career, Workforce, and Military Readiness: Students are graduating prepared with the skills needed to excel in their next steps.
“These ratings reflect a true team effort,” said Superintendent Gary Carkido. “We are proud of the work happening every day in our classrooms and grateful for the families and community members who support our mission.”
