From learning how to measure blood pressure both manually and with electronic monitors, to exploring the structure of the heart through hands-on pig heart dissections, students gained valuable real-world experience. They also investigated the ABO blood group system and practiced blood typing using simulated patient samples.
Putting what they’ve learned into real-world practice!

A big thank you to Miley, Paden, and Ava for organizing such a meaningful experience. Our members enjoyed reading with students, leading a fun sorting activity, and sharing a snack with their new friends. 💙

As part of the program, Ava is giving back to her community through a service project collecting hygiene products such as toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, and other personal care items.
Here’s the fun part for our Roosevelt Elementary students! 🐰
Any class that collects 30 or more hygiene items by March 20 will receive a special visit from the Easter Bunny! The class with the most will receive a dilly bar party!
Let’s work together to support Ava’s project and help make a difference in our community while earning a fun surprise for your class! 💙

Yesterday, our students surprised her with handwritten notes and filled her office with balloons to celebrate her special day. It was a thoughtful way to show how much she is appreciated by our school community.
We hope you had a wonderful birthday, Principal Watson! 🎂💙

Our Roosevelt Elementary students will soon be featured on WYTV reciting the Pledge of Allegiance during the morning news soon!
🕒 Airs between 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM

Let’s support her and show our Blue Devil pride!
