On November 11, Catalina took the stage at Stambaugh Auditorium, performing with the extracurricular Stambaugh Youth Concert Band—an incredible opportunity and an outstanding performance!
This past weekend, Sam David and Zane represented McDonald in the OMEA District 5 Honors Band. After two days of rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, they wrapped up the experience with a fantastic concert on Saturday, November 22.
👏 Congratulations to all three students on their dedication, hard work, and musical achievements! Keep shining, Blue Devils! 💙🎵

It will be very cold, with temps dropping from the low 30s into the mid 20s. Please bundle up with layers, coats, gloves, and hats.
Student Spirit Bus: Arrive at the front of the high school by 4:15 PM. The bus will leave by 4:25 PM, 4:30 PM at the latest. (Only if you signed up in the Google Sheet provided by Ms. Watson on Monday).

Roosevelt 3rd Graders Stepped Back in Time!
Yesterday, our 3rd graders enjoyed a special Throwback Day! The Mahoning Valley Historical Society joined us to present an Old-Fashioned School Day, offering students a hands-on glimpse into what classrooms were like in the past.
Our students had a blast learning, exploring, and experiencing history in a whole new way! 📚✨

On November 11, Ms. Rozzo's Government classes, in conjunction with Mrs. Stonestreet and Student Council, put together a breakfast to celebrate and appreciate those who had served in the military or are currently serving. The junior classes signed paper feathers with words of thanks and gratitude that art instructor Mrs. Mills used to form an eagle. There was a nice turnout of several veterans and their families to enjoy the catered Panera breakfast. During the meal, a saxophone trio led by sophomore David Suverison played "America the Beautiful". As the event closed, each veteran, including our superintendent, Mr. Carkido, signed a poster board that will be hung in the study hall.

What a night under the lights! Despite the chilly weather, our Powderpuff game brought nothing but energy, excitement, and incredible sportsmanship.

✨ And huge appreciation to our football players who stepped up as coaches. Your leadership and enthusiasm made the night even better.

Today our McDonald High School Student Council helped spread kindness across the district with special activities for both buildings!
💙 At Roosevelt Elementary, our high school leaders guided students in adding their colorful handprints to the “At McDonald We Are Kind” banner: a fun and meaningful way to celebrate choosing kindness. 🫶
💙 At the High School, students enjoyed the “Be the I in KIND” hallway photo-op and handed out kindness stickers to brighten everyone’s day. 🫶
