Veterans Day ❤️🤍💙
A heartfelt thank you to Miss Rozzo and her government students, as well as Mrs. Stonestreet and our Student Council, for hosting a wonderful Veterans Day breakfast on Tuesday at MHS. Your planning, hard work, and hospitality made the event truly special. A big thank you to our band trio, Trevor, David, and Jordan, for providing music .🎷🎶
We extend our deepest appreciation to the veterans who joined us and to all who have served. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment to our country mean more than words can express. We are honored to have you as part of our McDonald community.
And a special shoutout to Noelle Lytle, winner of the Starbucks gift card for showing the most patriotic spirit on Veterans Day! ❤️🤍💙

Right now, check out their amazing versions of the iconic mosaic tile lizard from Antoni Gaudí’s Parque Güell in Barcelona, Spain! 🦎

Students spent the day shadowing local leaders to learn more about government in action, followed by a luncheon featuring Ohio Treasurer Speaker Robert Sprague.

They transformed an unused area of the school into their own version of the Parisian Catacombs, where millions of corpses were housed during the 18th-century plague. For this immersive lesson, students decoded information in French from tombstones tied to famous historical figures to solve a series of challenging word puzzles.
Students described the experience as “a cross between National Treasure and The Goonies”, an eerily fun and educational adventure! 🗝️📜✨

After studying the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Mr. Domitrovich’s English 9 students designed and presented their own Coat of Arms projects. Each creation represented personal symbols, values, and themes inspired by Poe’s writing.
This activity brought literature and creativity together, allowing students to connect deeply with the text while expressing their individuality. Great work, English 9! 👏📚🖤

Señora Ronghi brought culture to life at McDonald High School last Friday, 10/31, with a hands-on Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) immersion experience! Students participated in a themed scavenger hunt and enjoyed face painting as they learned about this colorful Mexican tradition and its cultural significance.
Thank you, Señora Ronghi, for your thoughtful planning and creativity in providing such a meaningful and engaging experience for our students! ❤️🌼

We’re in the last week of our Healthy Hearts and Paws Project Donation Drive. Let’s finish strong! From Oct. 27–31, we’re collecting treats and toys for dogs and cats 🐶🐱 (plus cleaning supplies, too!).
💙 The classroom that collects the most will win an extra recess, and the overall winner for the month earns a PJ Day!
You can also make monetary donations directly to The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project via Venmo, PayPal, or CashApp — every $2 donated = 1 item toward your child’s classroom total!

Our volleyball team captured its third straight District Title last night with a big win over Lake Center Christian! 💪💙
Next up: Regional Semifinals on Thursday, October 30! Let’s keep the momentum going, congratulations! 👏🔥
